Who seen da Hyundai GENESIS?

That's the Genesis coupe. The sedan is a lot better, especially the V8.

Sounds like a bunch of dumb fucks in here that shoot down a car simply because of the brand name.

Really? What was wrong with it? Because I drove it, and I actually liked it, the clutch was a little heavy, but that's how it usually is with most brand new cars. The handling actually feels pretty well, not to mention the turbo sounds great. My complaint is the sea of nasty plastic on the dash, it looks so cheap, but the handling is straight imo, and the speed too, I managed to open it up and it still whipped around with me, and the fatass 300+ pound car dealer in the passenger seat blasting the damn A/C.

Hyundai is a company on the rise . In the next upcoming decade hyundai will become "the next honda". They will establish themselves pretty well with the new cars they will introduce in the next few years. A few examples are:
1) Hyundai Equus
2) Hyundai Sonata

They are definately stepping there game up. Slowly but surely hyundai will be a contender if they continue to make good looking quality cars.

They're at Honda right now, if not better, and are trying to become the Lexus of this decade. While you give them credit for doing quite a bit for cheap, they're not different from other brands in that they have their flaws. They try and take on the Europeans and come close, but no cigar. There was so much buzz around the Genesis last year, especially during the Olympics, but where did it go now? Seems like everyone tried it and didn't quite like it. Not to mention, the Genesis isn't as comfortable as a Lexus, BMWs ended up dusting the car on the track as do Porsches, and it does it while staying 20 grand cheaper. The funny thing is, the cars mentioned above were mentioned in every Hyundai ad for the Genesis and it never quite made sense why.

As bad as it seems to say it, it is still a Hyundai, and no one that works with people that drive executive sedans like XJs, S-Classes, A8s, and 7ers will pull up to them in a Genesis or an Equus.

I think the brand name has something to do with it's "sea of nasty plastic on the dash", and it looking cheap. It's probably because the car is, in fact, cheap. One of my buddies at school leased a Genesis sedan at the beginning of the year, and it had some cheap looking interior.. shit, didn't even like pulling up in it next to some German cars.
