What should I do?

I got a 92 buick century and about $2000. Should I sell it and buy a new car or should I throw some d's on it, get a paint job and body work done and shit like that? I aint got a pic of mine but it looks like this.

put a nice two tone paint job on it 1000 - 1500
Nice chrome grille $50 - 100
Chrome roccer panels $30 if you di it yourself
Tint the windows $100
get some rimes to start $700 - 1400
And oh yea throw a rag top on that shit $500

A good paint job is going to run you at least 3k. People can say what they want, but that's the truth. They gotta do the spray the whole car and do shit like the door jambs, it aint cheap.

because it doesnt make sense to put a whole bunch of money on a car that wont last

The motors real good and everything. I just put a new starter in it and got a new battery. It only has 77,000 miles on it too. I might keep it I dunno yet.

Save that $2000, and drive it until you have a major problem. It is absolutely retarded to spend money on rims/paint/chrome/stereo when your driving a car that is 15 years old.

A) You aren't gonna look cool with a '92 Buick that is 'pimped out'. People are gonna think your car is a piece of shit, and that you are a fucking broke ass wanna be that's too stupid to realize how dumb he looks. BUT, if you leave the car the way it is, you're just another guy with a car that might be old, but it doesn't look bad and it gets you around. (You need an excuse to pick up chicks? Tell them you drive that because you are saving to buy a new car and you want to pay cash because payments are a rip-off)

B) If you don't want to use your $2,000 for investing in the mechanics of the car (like a new transmission, which is a common problem among cars this old) because the car might die and the money you put into it would be a waste, then wouldnt putting money into it for superficial items like a new paint job also be a waste of money if the car dies?

I had a 1988 Cavalier Z24 when I was in high school.....I spent all this money to get it painted (@ Earl Sheib it was like 600 bucks), buy a Pioneer CD player ($200 + $60 to get it installed b/c the old car owner had cut the stereo wires out of the car), I bought chrome winshield wipers, I bought headlight covers...

and then I started having problems with the car and I paid to get a new catalytic converter, I paid for a mechanic to fix my transmission pan b/c it was leaking, there was a problem with the radiator so I had to add coolant like every day because it was somehow leaking...

By the time I get rid of the car I had wasted like 2000 on maintenance and stupid shit, and I had only paid 1400 for the car in the first place

It took til after I got rid of it to realize how embarassed I was that I had been driving around in the piece of shit trying to make it look cool

LOL, the worst part, I had these 2 real hot girls in the backseat...and when they got out of the car their asses were completely soaked and they were all mad...there was a hole or something in the trunk and rain water would get under the seats or womething so anyone who sat down would get soaked
