Default English football on the rise?
Arsenal are into the semi-finals of the Champions League where they will face Villarreal of Spain (the weakest team left in the competition) and have a very good chance of getting into the final.
Middlesbrough are into the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup where they will face Steaua Burcharest (again, the weakest team left in the competition) ans have a good chance of getting into the final. We could be seeing an English time in the UEFA Cup and Champions League final this year which hasn't happened for a long time.

My question is do you peeps think that the standard of play in English football is on the rise and that how far Arsenal and Middlesbrough have advanced in the top European competitions reflects this or have they just been lucky?

the boro game last night was great to watch. nd they deserved to go through(nd tht is cumin frm a geordie) but a dont think they will win it. there stil the 3rd favs to win it out of 4. arsenal a think will get to the final but milan nd barca whoeva they get will be too stonrg for thm.

but a do want arsenal to win. dont wawnt boro to win uefa cup though.

nd a think it is the otha way round wit standard of football in england.
the standard is droppin coz of all these forgein faggots cheatin nd divin. spoilin tha game.

English football is definately on the rise, Liverpool winnin the Champions League Last yr, Chelsea becomin a World power in football, an Arsenal an Middlesborough through to the last 4 of Europes top 2 competitions really reflects the way we have progressed. I can see English footy stayin on top for a long time an wen England win the W.C then shit will really get poppin
