OSU is overrated, but they could still beat anyone in the Big 12. Big 12 rankings last year were inflated because there were so many of them in the rankings at first. Kansas came out of no where and Mizzou started doing better. It was more than the usual UT, OU, and OSU and Tech leading the Big 12.

Who said Auburn was a power house? Every year they recruit well, but never enough to be considered by the media as a top recruiter. We do it basically with no-name talent against the likes of Florida and Alabama and even Georgia who are always listed as top recruits.

If Auburn loses to a big name team, it's rarely more than by a touchdown, Georgia last year being the exception. USC? A TD. LSU last year? TD in the final five seconds. USF? OT loss to a team that would end up ranked higher than Auburn and is still in the top 25 this year. Wasn't against some shit team. I mean we're talking about Arkansas State beating A&M, what would the real Arkansas do to it?

I don't know why it's so hard to understand why the SEC shits on everyone. Who's won the BCS championship the past two years? Heisman candidates the past couple of years? Winner last year? This is an SEC era. The answer to the question of who will win the National Championship isn't beyond the the SEC.
And Oklahoma and Missouri can beat anybody in the SEC. The SEC is good but no one team is that much superior to any other power team in any other conference. I already proved my point about Ohio State.

Granted the SEC has the last 2 National Championships but by your saying, if it wasn't for USC choking at UCLA in 06 and West Virginia choking at home last year to Pitt, the SEC would have been shut out both years. But it's done now.......

Ok, Oklahoma and Mizzou are power houses for the Big 12. Georgia and Florida, maybe LSU, can be considered the top of the SEC with Auburn being somewhat of a sleeper and Alabama appearing to be on the come-up. If you pit the SEC against the Big 12, I think, the SEC will slaughter the Big 12. Slaughter as in Georgia shuts out Mizzou 42-0? No. But the conference record would be pretty lopsided, in my opinion. There's no doubt Mizzour and the top of the Big 12 are good, but I think if it came down, team-by-team, the SEC would win the majority of the games.

And what's this SEC getting shut out business? USC and UWV would have gone to the National Championship, not won it by winning the last games of their seasons. It comes down to strength of schedule, and Big 12 teams, or some of them, don't play the good Big 12 teams in a season to show how good they really are.

And no 2 loss LSU team would have been playing for the NC had WV had not choked at home. Florida was trailing USC in the polls before SC who happened to be a heavy favorite lost to UCLA.

The Big 12 is good. It would be closer than most think.......

Well, that doesn't change that more people would be confident in an SEC team winning a National Championship with a non-Big 12 foe.

If the SEC fans would check the history of SEC teams vs Pac 10 teams & Big 10 teams over the past 20 years or so on they wouldn't be talking so much trash. Tennessee was the only team in the past 10 years to beat Michigan Wolverines. Michigan beat Florida twice Alabam,Auburn,Vanderbilt,Georgia and Arkansas. I'm sick of this SEC is the best bullshit but granted their bottom teams are better than any other conference bottom teams yet that doesn't make them the best. So their schedule is tough especially when the SEC teams last year schedule play against decent teams from other major conferences and the only team to win one was LSU. Ohio State sucks when they play against the SEC but Michigan handled Florida pretty well down in Florida territory with 4 turnovers which hurt Michigan even. 2 years ago Penn State beat Tennessee and Wisconsin beat Arkansas.

Big 12 is closer to #1 Conference than Big Ten

If you think Georgia would shut out Mizzou you need to put the Kool-aid down. Mizzou has one of the most talented offenses this year.

Not the best of all time, but the best right now, the current era. Fine, the hardest conference doesn't necessarily mean the best, but who had more ranked teams than us at the end of last year?
