Arrow Philadelphia Eagles 2007 Season

Lots of people are saying lots of things about the Eagles off-season, but here's my rundown:

McNabb's injury made Andy Reid give the offensive reins to Marty Moringwheg. They showed that they could run the ball and had one of the best offenses in the league, while running the West Coast offense almost perfectly. With McNabb back, they can keep him healthy by not relying on him as much, and regain their deep threat that they lacked with Jeff Garcia. Should Mcnabb go down again, A.J. Feely will prove to be a solid backup. Kevin Curtis looks to be a major upgrade over injury prone Donte' Stallworth. The Eagles actually had more points per game and total offense when Stallworth was out versus when he was on the field. Their offensive line is solid and the Eagles did the right thing by resigning Todd Herremans to a long term deal. Corell Buckhalter was resigned, knows the offense well, and should be able to give Westbrook a rest when he needs it.

The defense should be much improved from last year. Broderick Bunkley is reportedly in top shape and should finally get his head out of his ass and play this year, which will upgrade the defensive line. Juqua Thomas has a long term deal which will keep the pass rush strong. With the singing of Montae Reagor and return of Jevon Kearse, they Eagles will be able to swap entire D-Lines each series which was extremely effective until Kearse got hurt and Andy Reid decided to keep his best players on the field. Linebacker is upgraded with Takeo Spikes, even if is only on the team a year or two. The D-backs are sound. Sean Considine dosen't get burned on every pass route like Michael Lewis, which takes pressure off of the corners. Dawkins is still good.

The Eagles now need to draft some depth at linebacker and D-Back, and let the kids learn, cause these positions will be a major concern in about two years.
