^^^^yeah. the people who vote for the mvp need to consider that.
nash and dirk have all-stars on their team, kobe has mediocre talent on his team with the best player besides kobe being lamar odom who's barely a borderline all-star. my vote: kobe

Kobe. But the system is rigged and Kobe won't get it even though he deserved it on more than one occasion.

I can't believe they put Duncan above Kobe in the race to MVP. Kobe puts in a sensational month of work (mtched only by Wilt) to help his team get out of a slump and then he backs off abit to allow his team to build on the momentum and gain confidence and for him to rack up good assists but no they lose and now Duncan is more valuable? That sucks.

Yeah Kobe's been good lately...but he can't play fair...waves his arms and hits opponent all the time....doesn't deserve MVP!!!!!!!!
Dirk is a real candidate for this title

either Dirk, or Nash
The MVP goes to the best player of one of the best teams.

Nash definitely. He's a great team mate, makes everyone in the team better, makes the game MUCH easier for the other players and the coach. Players that are around him all seem to put out carrer numbers. He can still score points and his offensive talents are amazing and great in the clutch. And hes the only player that I know of that after a loss, goes back to the locker room and says "guys, that was my fault", shows what a great leader he is... at the end of the day he knows that it wasnt his fault that another player missed buckets, but his mentality is amazing.

I dont see why players should get penalised for having won MVP earlier, there is no logic behind it at all.

People say that he shouldnt be MVP because he's got two all stars to play with, but when you look at them and actually watch their games... you see that they are feeding off Steve 90% of the time. Sure take out Nash and Phoenix will still probably be a ok team winning 45+ games but they'd just be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Its to do with the success of the team. Remember when Charles Barkley got him MVP, MJ was easily the best player the Phoenix was the best team. Therefore Barkley was the best player in one of the best teams.

IIRC the Lakers started the season 2-0 and Kobe didnt play any of those games and the other games he missed, the lakers didnt lose by much.
