Free Agent HD for Mac
So ive had this freeagent external harddrive that I have been using for some time on my Windows computer. I made the switch to Mac and when I plug it in, it lets me take stuff OFF of the HD but I cant put it on becuase the computer says its locked and cant be modified. Any way to fix this? Help would be really appreciated

That's strange, I used to take files back and forth on flash drives and ipods. My external HD has only been connected to my Mac, it's a Seagate and is supposed to work fluidly with both systems. Is it a Seagate? Do you have anymore details? Like specific messages that appeared?

its a seagate 300 gb drive and its got an orange stripe that lights up when its connected. I got the new imac and i switched in about december and havent had any time to worry about it till about now

yea mac's cannot write to ntfs they can only read you need to have it as fat32 to for it read and write

could try this app to write ntfs on mac not to sure about it
