Topic says it all.. Anyone know any way to do that? I tried searching with the word ".wav" but it didnt find anything. To those who wonder why I want to find them, I want to convert songs that I have in wav format to mp3 but I dont want to go through every almost 10 000 songs I have one by one..

just open ur explorer settings then click extras on the top then folder settings n there click view on the top then remove the mark on "dont show extensions on known file types" n press okay then search again for .wav .. my system is in german though so the options are called differently and i dont know what its exactly in your system hope u can still find it

shoulda organized ya shit and put em all in one folder

if running windows.....

click start and then select search. click all files and folders. click more advanced options .

either enter all or part of the file name (.wav)
or even more specific click drop dox box "type of file" there are a ton of different types and you should be good from there.

you could also search:

*.wav

and it'll search for every .wav file on you computer

Thats the same as searching for .wav
You can also search other stuff by file extensions, such as .mpg, .wmv, etc, etc... If others share your a computer and most likely have porn stashed somewhere, it will be easy for them to have it if they know how to search. lol
