I have an external hard drive that i just purchased and after i put all the important files on it and restarted my computer if fell and now it is not working. ( I can hear noises when it turns on but the computer doesn't find it) I don't want to return bc of the important files that are on here
My question is, Can it be fixed? it is a 500gb

plug it into a different port on your computer...or try a different cord

this may sound retarded but open it up and use the hard drive as a internal drive worked for me.
