hey can any1 help me with this i got 1 pc with vista and the other xp how can i use 2 internet at the same time and its wired thanks.

get a switch- you plug your cable modem/ whatever to the switches uplink port then u plug your two pcs in to two of the normal ports and thats it. internet is shared. You could also get pretty much any router out there today and do the same thing because they have built in routing and switching capabilities.

u are exatly right a switch jus connects your local network it doesnt split the internet connection for that get a router they all come with 4 sharing ports meaning u can share the 1 internet connection with up to 4 other sources at once
