Question Laptop-LCD TV?????

guys.......recently purchased sony lcd w series 400A LCD tv and i want to connect my laptop to tha LCD tv(Sony VGN-TZ27GN/b) but im not sure abt what kind of cable do i need to get the best output on the tv......VGA or XVGA or SVGA or UXVGA????

im posting the pics of the ports of the laptop and tv......plz suggest.....

a regural vga will work as long as your computer settings for resolution is set to the same resolution as the lcd for example 720x1280

If your laptop has and HDMI plugin spot like your tv I would do that instead well actually thats what i do then i have a wireless keyboard and mouse and just lay in bed while i do everything lolz im lazy I know.

90percent of laptops dont have hdmi outputs only the new higherend ones and either way they will both output highdef the only diff is the vga is 10bucks and the hdmi is 50

tried connectiing with the cable which is used to connect the CPU and monitor of my desktop......got the picture but with no sound..........do i need to install any drivers to get the sound in TV???

yepp....u r right my laptop doesnt have a HDMI output......checked with the retailer and i was told that none of them r out there with HDMI in area.....

well that sux I used to use the VGA and then I saw my friends with HDMI and I had to switch the picture is amazing with the HDMI connection but it's still cool for just a bigger screen if you can only do the VGA.

also anyone who has both types of connections HDMI is worth the extra cost it doesn't cost more for nothing heh the difference is clear!
