Default USB 1.0 to 2.0
well i have windows xp and when i plug in my external hard drive of 500gb, a message pops up and says that i need a High Speed USB Host Controller to obtain maximum performance but i can find a program that can do that...any ideas?

do you have a 2.0 usb cord its blue. and update your usb drives.

Actually the blue cord specifies that it is the of highest quality currently possible and a few things do require that blue cord or they cannot run at full potential.

Example T3 internet speeds with a regular non blue cord losses 20% of it's speed.

ummm it might be time for a new computer or motherboard..I don't think if you have 1.0 usb you can update to 2.0...correct me if im wrong
