usually whats a 12 for regular tv has to be like a 19 or 20 for dvds. why do dvds have lower volume?

DvD's are encoded with AC3 audio which is usually lower than normal tv.
All DVD movies, are normalized to -31db. This severely compresses the dynamic range down. Dialog is what is normalized up to 0db, from what I read. This makes dialog louder than everything else. There u go Last edited by scoobykanye; 07-08-2008 at 08:43 PM.. |
