Default Music and my laptop

I've got a windows vista laptop but I cant seem to find out how to check how much memory it has.

Also, im thinking about moving my 15ishGB worth of music from my desktop pc to my laptop, but I wont bother if its going to make my laptop go really slow.

Can anyone help or advise?

Memory as in RAM or amount of disc space?

Although it sounds like you're talking disc space...Just click on "My Computer", it'll show your hard drive(s) and external drive(s) and how much space they have left.

what do you suggest is the best thing to do then?

Will getting a external hard drive solve this problem?

I will actually be using iTunes when I move my music to the laptop because I need to connect it to my ipod.

I suggest getting a external hard drive to back your music up. Western Digital is a good brand.
I'm looking into getting one too cause my all my music is on my iPod.
