Apple hasn't copied any of the apps from installer. Apple has only released one app so far(the remote app for iTunes/Apple TV), the rest are developed by companies or regular people.

Yeah, most are compatible with iPod Touch. The ones that aren't need to use AT&T network.

If you update to iTunes 7.7, go to the App Store and on the left you'll see a section 'All iPod Touch Applications'.

I tried downloading the AIM but it won't go on my ipod touch. It never asked me to upgrade to 2.0 either.

My Touch is jailbroken also, idk if that messes things up or not
