IMPORTANT
u need iTunes 7.5 (not the new 7.7) to use this firmware Once iTunes 7.5 is installed you connect your ipod and hold shift and click restore and browse to the location u downloaded the firmware file......and your ipod will update to it....and yes you will have to re-sync after. MAJOR PROPZ ON THIS.....thatz if it works....imma try it out soon

^^fuck, i dont have my library on sync cuz its 50gb and my ipod is only 16gb....so, whats new if i install this, and does anyone by any chance have a backup software, like the copypod?...i need one that works with the itouch so i can install this

dont know about backup software....but the correct wht i said earlier......you should use iTunes 7.5 to restore to 1.1.4, After restoring is finished, you need to set it up as a new ipod. After that has finished shift+click restore and choose the 2.0 firmware.....give it a while and it will say that you cannot upgrade. At this point u install iTunes 7.7....and you will be on the brand new 2.0 software......just tried this and it works......

So basically, so you dont get the error, just install 7.5, downgrade, install 7.7, install the new firmware, period....one question though, where can i get 1.1.4?
