Would be great if you give us the name of the laptop. So we can help you with some googling.

I would say go to repair shops. Mom and pops repair shops though... they might do it for cheaper... unless you got insurance on it, which in that case i would take it back. But how the hell do you break a Laptop Screen????

That LCD replacement for that laptop goes for $250-300. I suggest calling Gateway customer service and ask how much it cost for them to repair it. You don't want to buy it yourself and replace it on your own. As you have to take the laptop completely apart, lots of small parts.
Have you tried hooking up an external monitor to the laptop?

shit thanks for the info I found a computer place in town which is gonna cost me 150 for the screen and I'm just gonna do it myself itls not hard to replace it just 6 screws external and 4 internal then just 2 plugs I've already taken it apart and put it back together to make sure I didn't fuck it up and it works
Edit: yeah I had to hook it up to a another comp so I could transfer my stuff to my iPhone |
