so iphone/touch firmware 2.0 is not free?
so i installed itunes 7.7, plug in my ipod touch, it didnt prompt me 2 update
after dat, i reached 2 tha conclusiomn dat tha update is not free, am i rite? or somethings fucked up wit itunes EDIT: finally it prompted me 2 update 2 firmware 2.0 but its not free 4 ipod touch  Last edited by xkevineezyx; 07-13-2008 at 01:41 PM. |

I think it's free for the iPhone but not for the touch. I may be wrong though since I haven't tried to update my iPhone yet

The iPhone 2.0 update is free for all users, but it will lock your cell-phone if it was previously unlocked. The 2.0 update for the iPod Touch is actually $9.95 USD ......there was a post about getting it for free in this section.

last night.. i restored da ipod .. i was gonna lcik shift n restore.. but i said fuckit.. i clicked restore.. n it said.. contacting apple for software upgrade or sumtin like dat.. after dat.. da 2.0 firmware rules or sumtin popped up n it started downloading.. dont know if its free or not..
