Convert mkv to avi
I have a mkv music video, but I would like to convert it to an avi file
I have googled this and tried some of the ones that the searches came back with, but they didnt work so good So does anyone know a way to do this? Thanks

yea its pretty hard to do it quickly, but if you have VSO ConvertXtoDVD , you can convert it to DVD , and if you really just want an AVI file, you can then use IMtoo DVD Ripper and turn it into an avi, thats what I did and it worked, takes a while but is easier than the other ways.

its better to convert MKV files to mp4. MKV is just a container like AVI. when i used to do it i used gotsent http://sentry23.googlepages.com/

i use ultra mp4 converter. it supports all video formats & the conversion quality is pretty good. heres a link: http://www.download.com/Ultra-MP4-Vi...-10607329.html
this is the trial version. you might need to get a serial for it though!
