I don't know, I think it turns animations off. Makes the program a lot more bearable. Overall, I think it's a borderline decent program, but the UI looks way better than iTunes. When I look at the iTunes compared to the Zune software, it looks like I'm working on a spreadsheet document, instead of managing songs.
