Default Computer Problem

I Have Been Using My Computer For A While Now And Untill Now It Would WOrk normal and then it would shut off and restart by its self it wouldnt even load after the windows boot screen and start restarting itself like crazy what should i do?

If you installed any new hardware recently (video card or something), remove the drivers and reinstall. Otherwise, first, clean out your CPU fan (Take the case off, and use something like a cotton wool bud (I think you call them q-tips?)). See if it helps. If not, if you have more than one stick of RAM, take one stick out at a time until it stops.

What he said, and check if your heatsink (fan over your processor) is really hot to the touch. Your processor might be over heating which may be caused from your power supply possibly failing. These scenarios can cause random restarts as well and make your system unstable.

I fucked my dad's comp up once when I unplugged the the cable while it was still on and the comp did what you said it was doing. It would start up, show the windows screen with the bars going by, and then it would restart again. Not sure what happened, but the HDD was still intact and we still use it and my dad bought a new one.
